The civilization thrived for about three thousand years from around 2600 BC to 1900 BC, which means their technology must have been fairly advanced—but what did they make? There are many competing theories as to what was built in Mohenjo Daro, but no clear answer has come up until now. The archaeologist Dr. Ian M. Campbell has been one of those working to solve this mystery. His research and interviews with locals and other archaeologists shows that what we thought we knew about the material culture of the Indus Civilization is simply incorrect: The pottery and ornaments found in Mohenjo Daro, he believes, were not produced by its residents—but by the local herders who lived around it—the Harappans. This movie will be a fitting tribute to the Indus Civilization, which has been such a big part of world history for so long. It also suggests that all those shiny ornaments you see in Mohenjo Daro's temples were probably made by these very people. Which means that history has been mis-understood all these years. This mistake has caused various theories to be created about who the Indus were, where they came from, and their historical significance. One theory is that the Indus had contacts with Mesopotamia, which would explain their similarities with that region. One problem is that no Mesopotamian texts have been discovered in Pakistan – but it might be possible to find evidence of a link in Afghanistan, which also had a flourishing trade with the Indus people. Another theory suggests that the Indus Civilization was formed from local tribal groups of hunter gatherers – but again there is no proof of this. This movie is a fascinating re-enactment of the rise of a great civilization and its ultimate demise. It looks at the evidence and makes some impressions on how we have been wrong about this subject since the beginning of time, and it offers some exciting prospects to come. I was amazed at the story behind this movie, how it started.. How through adversity they were able to build such a huge cross river by boat and make farming there profitable again... That too in the desert of India, where one wasn't suppose to farm... But they did it... This left me with an impression that each one can make his dream come true. I use to think how things are today.. Where everything is robotic.. Where all these robots are doing the work, not humans... I want robots for my kitchen, for my room cleaning. Where will my children go for jobs?? Where will my children go with no education? Mohenjo Daro movie has given me some idea how they coped up with this problem. I decided that i will educate myself about this movie and teach others about it too.. cfa1e77820
